Today I Was Baptised

For a long time, Judy, George, and I had been talking about baptism. Unfortunately, St Mark’s Church didn’t have a baptistry suitable for adult baptism, so we had to wait until we could arrange for it to be done elsewhere. Thankfully, Emmanuel Church gave me the opportunity to be baptized.
Today I met Johnny—a very kind, friendly, and faithful young man. He told me about their church, Emmanuel Church. The atmosphere there is very lively and a bit modern. He said, “Don’t worry, the water is warm enough!” 😄
George arrived a little late. He told me, “Sushy, when I ask you with energy, ‘Sushy, is this your faith?’ respond powerfully and with energy, ‘Yes, this is my faith!’ Try to say it with energy, because this moment will stay with you forever.”
It was such a joyful feeling.
After the baptism, I felt as though my entire life had been spent drowning in the sea, and I had finally been rescued. I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit deep within me. It was as if I had died and been brought back to life. George gave me a new Bible as a gift. It’s so beautiful, and I love it.
I believe everything that has happened to me in these past few years was God’s will. He guided me to this point. He has illuminated my path, so I walk forward with faith and trust in Him.
